Further car issue

So, after having slashed two tyres and then waiting for me to buy a new battery, the bleeders have stolen my car. I got back home last night from my first visit to Turf Moor in years and left the car in its usual spot outside the house. When I got up this morning I saw a space where the car should have been.

The Plods are on the case and I’m waiting for action from the insurance company now.

What do I think of these people? Can’t say in polite society.

It's society's fault. Children grow up in society and how they turn out mis the fault of everyone. Role models?

Let's see.....the government lie and also bomb Iraq; sportspeople take drugs to cheat; 'professional foul' anyone?

etc

Thanks Philip ... let me ask visitors to take a look at Philip's blogs and site too as there are stories of courage and despair aplenty there to make the weak of society think again.

Of course, it is already a nightmare but what can one do? My car was stolen on Wednesday night and despite calling the police and my insurers as soon as I found out what had happened I am still waiting for any news from them.

The police I can understand: I am sure they are looking for the car and I am sure that when they find it they'll tell me.

As for the insurance company, they told me that I would receive a return call from them during which they would ask for further information and so on. At 4 pm on Thursday since they hadn't returned my call I called them again only to be told that I would probably have to wait 48 hours for my return call. It is now early on Saturday morning and still nothing has happened. Having read my policy, however, I am confident that they will not pay out if the car isn’t returned or is damaged in any way.

I have rehearsed my opening remarks when the insurance company does call back, it will be something like this: who? I don't remember that! Oh, hang on, I didn't remember now. Gosh, that was a long time ago: good of you to remember.

With no evidence whatsoever really my current thought is that there may be a good chance that my car has been stolen to order. After all, whilst it is not the best of its kind it is a relatively rare vehicle. Consequently, I have the feeling that it is in someone's garage being ripped apart. Alternatively, since it is a powerful car then there is the chance that it has been raced all over the moors and may be a burnt out wreck.
